Village of the Coastside was founded in 2016. I just attended the very successful and well attended Launch Party recently. From their website “Village of the Coastside (VOTC) is a membership-based organization available to adults living in the coastal towns from Half Moon Bay to Montara. Senior Coastsiders is our fiscal non-profit agent.”

I am a real estate professional with additional training for the 55+ age group needs. That training and association is within the Senior Real Estate Specialist membership organization.
Real Estate for Seniors. What is a Real Estate Seniors Specialist?
A Realtor who has completed the certification SRES has incorporated skills to serve real estate buyers and sellers who are aged 55 and older. We have been trained to understand the issues of these years, including downsizing, aging-in-place, reverse mortgages, and much more.
Here’s a breakdown of the generations by each generally accepted “name” – Baby Boomers (1946-1964); Silent Generation (1927-1945); G.I. Generation (1901-1926). According to a report titled “65+ in the U.S.: 2005” done by the U.S. Census Bureau, more than half of the 65+ population live in 9 states, with the top four being California, Florida, New York and Texas. 77% of those live in metropolitan areas such as towns like Half Moon Bay, CA. Half Moon Bay is within a short drive to world class medical facilities at UCSF Medical Center and Stanford Hospital.
