Extended Stays in Half Moon Bay

Sometimes a buyer or seller may find that they need a temporary space from a week to a few months after the close of escrow.  This period of limbo can be unsettling as they say goodbye to one routine and await the new adventure. Your Realtor may provide some extended stay options for you.   Here’s a few I know of:

Half Moon Bay Lodge’s accommodations also have a swimming pool and spa facilities, fitness and on-site massages.   Their rooms don’t have kitchenettes but do offer refrigerator and microwave for approx. $125 per night.  Located less than a mile of downtown Half Moon Bay.

Half Moon Bay Inn has a couple rooms that have kitchenettes.  It’s right on Main Street with walking distance to a lot of fun things to do.  According to their website, they run about $225-$300 per night.  Dog friendly.  Main Street in downtown Half Moon Bay above It’s Italia Restaurant.

Beach House Hotel is our only condo-hotel.  Each unit is individually owned; rented out 9 months of the year.  The units are professionally managed by the Beach House Hotel staff.  $155-$175 per night weekdays; $205-$235 per night weekends – depending on ocean views and availability.  Your stay will be calculated on a per-night basis.  Located approximately 4 miles north of downtown Half Moon Bay, it is steps to the coastal trail for sunset walks or kayaking in the harbor.  There is not a restaurant or coffee shop on site, but each studio has a small kitchenette.

Oceano Hotel – located in Princeton Harbor (in an area called Harbor Village), the suites have a full kitchen, bedroom (either a king or 2 doubles), and a full bathroom.  Ask for the manager who may be able to authorize a rate better than the regular $299-$329 per night rate for longer stays.

Comfort Inn in Half Moon Bay has one suite that has a kitchen, king bed, couch and a washer/dryer in the unit.    Normally 169.99, they may offer a better price for several weeks or more.  Located on Highway 1 within a short distance to beaches & the Coastal Trail.

The Half Moon Bay Coastside does not have any corporate housing options (such as Extended Stay or others) in our little community.  I know that there are options closer to the San Francisco Airport (SFO) and in Burlingame, both within a 30 minute drive.

A more complete list of lodging options can be found in my Recreation Category/Fun & Adventure page.  If anyone has updated information, please let me know so I can update my information for visitors, thanks.
